ClickDimensions, a marketing technology and services provider founded and headquartered in Atlanta, helps marketers create outstanding experiences to drive growth and increase customer engagement.

The company’s marketing solution, the leading marketing platform for Microsoft Dynamics, provides marketers with a single unified marketing, analytics and services platform that enables teams to maximize the benefits they can derive from the embedded tools while driving continuous improvement of marketing results. MarTech competitors, by contrast, offer disparate solutions for marketing, analytics and services.

Even though ClickDimensions offers a more comprehensive platform, at a lower cost, than its more than 3,600 competitors, those advantages alone aren’t enough as customers also demand top-level service in addition to the pricing and feature benefits of the product.

To provide the best service the more than 37,000 Microsoft Dynamics users across the globe, ClickDimensions executives knew they needed to expand operations in Europe as well as in the U.S., so it carefully considered what European location would best serve its current needs as well as its future goals.

The company saw Ireland as an ideal location because it provides easy access to both the U.S. and EMEA, as well as a multi-national presence, availability of skilled, multi-lingual talent and the availability of setup grants from IDA.

Business grants are available for new and existing businesses for a variety of needs, including capital and employment, training and research, development and innovation. In addition to the grants, there is also a 25 percent tax credit available for companies engaging in R&D.

All funding is negotiated on a case-by-case basis in compliance with EU and Irish legislation. IDA guided ClickDimensions executives as they determined which Ireland location would best meet the company’s needs. IDA provided tours of potential Irish locations, including Cork, and introduced company executives to Munster Technological University (MTC) and University College Cork – National University of Ireland (UCC) contacts and recruitment agencies as well as other multi-national startups located in the city.

With the EMEA market potential, Cork became an extremely appealing as a hub for the company’s increased global investment, enabling ClickDimensions to take advantage of the growing international opportunity.

Cork offers proximity to the second major airport in Ireland, a workforce that possesses the marketing, technical and related skills that ClickDimensions needs to maximize its operations, a pair of major universities – MTU and UCC -- for an ongoing talent pool, easy commuting access and local recruitment agencies. Cork also offered the infrastructure, technology, R&D opportunities and culture that ClickDimensions sought.

The first step for ClickDimensions was to retain the services with a recruitment company experienced in supporting start-up operations in the city, leading to the hiring of the initial employee cohorts as well as a senior executive. Then ClickDimensions relied on its referral program to hire additional employees from networks and from more direct avenues.

“There were several similarities between our Atlanta, Georgia, office and Cork, which helped facilitate the opening of this European office,” said Mike Dickerson, CEO of ClickDimensions.

The company opened its European Operations Centre of Excellence to better serve and maximize its relationships with its EU customers in 2019.

Since establishing the EMEA headquarters in Cork, ClickDimensions has grown its presence in business development, customer support and engineering – actively contributing to the city’s broader ecosystem while creating a diverse team that reflects its customer base.

“Cork is an ideal hub for international business,” said Dickerson. “ClickDimensions has formed strategic partnerships with the Cork Institute of Technology to support the development of young talent in the city and maintains an active membership with the Cork Chamber of Commerce. With plans for future investment, we expect to remain a fixture in the city’s business landscape for years to come.”

The company expects to invest and scale further while adding employees for critical positions, with a service office on South Mall.

Dickerson added: “The talent in Cork has been exceptional. ClickDimensions highly values diversity and inclusion, willingness to learn, work ethic and accountability. We’ve been able to hire team members who are fluent in multiple languages and who are highly educated. Our Cork team embodies all of this – and we enjoy working together.”

ClickDimensions has made a significant investment in the Cork office, and has hired over 50 employees for customer success, technical support, client services, HR, and engineering roles, with the latest hires handling product and marketing roles.

“We continue to receive ongoing support and guidance from IDA offices, both in the US and Ireland,” said Dickerson. “Both are readily available for advice and guidance. They also provide us regular updates on the market so we’re aware of any additional opportunities.”
